Lapinig, Northern Samar
Cogon grassland until 2013, when eleven hectares were replanted. Mahogany and other hardwoods now give it shade. The shade is the draw, and it is recent — this was open grassland little more than a decade ago. Worth seeing as an example of what replanting can do in a short time.
