Our policies

1. Agreeing to these terms

When you use CJ Catalogue, you're agreeing to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. They apply to everyone who uses the site — both the businesses that list with us and the visitors who browse. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.

2. What we do

CJ Catalogue is an online directory for businesses and services across Eastern Visayas, Philippines. We bring together listings, categories, contact details, and other useful business information so people can find and discover local shops, services, and destinations more easily.

3. Your responsibilities as a user

  • Use the site only for lawful purposes. Don't post or send anything that is untrue, misleading, defamatory, offensive, or that infringes someone else's intellectual property.
  • Check details for yourself before acting on them. Always confirm information directly with a business before making a decision or a payment based on what you see here.

4. Business listings

  • We may approve, edit, or take down any listing at our discretion.
  • If you list a business, it's up to you to keep its information accurate and current. A listing is not an endorsement, and CJ Catalogue isn't responsible for the quality of any product or service a listed business provides.

5. Who owns the content, and our role

Most of what you see on CJ Catalogue — business listings, tourism destinations, events, job posts, photos, descriptions, and contact details — is posted and maintained by the business owners, organisations, and contributors themselves. Our role is to build and run the platform that hosts and helps promote that content. We don't write it, and we can't independently check every detail.

We take the privacy of our partners and listing owners seriously. Any information you give us to run a listing is used only to operate that listing and the directory itself. We never sell it, and we handle it in line with our Privacy Policy and the data-protection laws that apply to us.

6. Intellectual property

The site itself — its text, graphics, logos, and software — belongs to CJ Catalogue or to the people who supply our content, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Please don't reuse it without permission.

7. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, CJ Catalogue, its partners, and its team are not liable for any loss or damage that results from your use of the site — including indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. You use the directory, and act on the information in it, at your own discretion.

8. Updates to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, the updated version will appear on this page and applies from the moment it's posted. If you keep using the site afterwards, we'll take that as your acceptance of the changes.

1. About this policy

This policy explains what information we collect when you visit CJ Catalogue or use our services, how we use it, when we share it, and how we look after it. We're committed to handling your personal data responsibly and in line with the data-protection laws that apply to us, including the Philippine Data Privacy Act.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

Your name, email address, phone number, and — if you list a business — its name, address, website, description, and any other details you choose to provide when you create a listing or get in touch with us.

Information collected automatically

Basic details about how you use the site, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, plus your approximate location when you use our map-based search.

3. How we use it

  • To run and maintain the directory
  • To answer your questions and respond to applications or requests
  • To publish business listings and help connect businesses with the people looking for them
  • To understand how the site is used, improve it, and keep it working reliably

4. When we share it

We don't sell your personal information. Anything you submit for a business listing is shown publicly on purpose — that's how customers find you. Beyond that, we only share information with the service providers who help us operate the site, or where the law requires us to.

5. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct it if it's wrong, or delete it
  • Stop processing it, or withdraw a consent you gave us earlier

Just email us using the details below and we'll help.

What this covers

This policy explains how refunds work for paid listing plans on CJ Catalogue. A listing is a digital service — it goes live and starts working for your business as soon as your payment clears — so it isn't treated the same way as a returnable physical product. We'd encourage you to read this before you subscribe.

When you can get a refund

We look at each request on its own, but as a general guide:

SituationWhat to expect
You were accidentally charged more than once for the same listingFull refund of the extra charge
A technical problem on our end meant your listing never went live after you paidFull refund
You cancel within 48 hours and the listing hasn't been published yetFull refund
You cancel within 7 days of the listing going liveRefund for the unused portion of your plan
You cancel more than 7 days after the listing went liveNo refund for the current billing period
You simply change your mind after the listing is already publishedNo refund

Where a refund is for an unused portion, we calculate it from the day you ask us to cancel.

How to ask for a refund

Send us an email from the address on your account and include the business name on the listing, when you paid and how much, and a short note on why you're requesting a refund. Once approved, refunds go back to the payment method you used, usually within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or provider.
