Samar Grill House

Samar Grill House began as a small weekend stall run by the Dela Cruz family in 2015. Armed with a borrowed charcoal grill and a handful of family recipes, we set up along the bay each Saturday and cooked whatever the morning's catch brought in. What started as a way to share our lola's kinilaw with neighbours slowly became a weekend ritual for the whole barangay. Word spread — first about the smoky, perfectly-charred seafood, then about the secret kinilaw recipe we still refuse to write down. Within a couple of years the weekend stall had turned into a full restaurant, and today we welcome hundreds of guests every week, from families celebrating birthdays to travellers looking for a real taste of Eastern Visayas. Through all of it, the things that matter to us haven't changed. We still source daily from the same local fishermen and farmers we started with, we still cook every dish to order over live charcoal, and we still treat every guest like they've been invited to a family gathering.
