Tourist spot
Fuerza de Capul.
Capul, Northern Samar
A church dedicated to St. Ignatius of Loyola, fortified in the 1800s against Moro raids. It is among the oldest churches in Northern Samar and has an 11-metre belfry. A church built to be defended reads differently from one built only for worship, and that is what makes this worth the stop. The belfry gives you the scale of it from some distance away.

What this means
Details being gathered
We have not gathered the visiting details for this spot yet, so the fee, the hours and the state of access are all still open questions.
These pages are compiled from public and official sources. A fee, an opening hour or the state of a road is only worth printing once somebody has checked it on the ground, so until then we leave it blank rather than guess. A wrong number sends people on a wasted trip.
Travelling before we get there?
The Capul guide lists the local tourism office and how to reach them. They can confirm the fee, the hours and whether the route is passable this week.
