The festival saved a homecoming for its last night. On fiesta eve, Krystal Mejes came home to Samar to headline the free Concert at the Park, closing the Hadang Festival's week of events just hours before the city fiesta.
Mejes, dubbed "Ang Wishful Waray ng Samar," finished as Kapamilya 2nd Big Placer of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 with 22.26 percent of the final vote. At the CACO Theater she sang for a home crowd, and at one point stepped down from the stage to join the audience, trading the national spotlight for the hometown that watched her rise.
Local artists also took the stage, among them Gab Muñoz, giving the fiesta eve crowd a lineup of Calbayog's own alongside the headliner.
Crowds started gathering at the CACO Theater well before showtime, filling the grounds on a night that rolled straight into the fiesta the next morning.

Hadang is an ancient Visayan ritual of making offerings to spirits, for protection, healing, good fortune or a bountiful harvest. It is still performed in Calbayog by local tambalans, and it is the foundation of the city's official festival: known until 2025 as the Sarakiki-Hadang Festival, named Hadang Festival by city ordinance on 1 September 2025, and three times champion at Samar's Tandaya Festival of Festivals.
