The final round
The candidates were asked what they would first do for Calbayog City if they won.
I believe that leadership is the root of our advocacy. If I will win the crown tonight of Ms. Hadang 2026, my first thing to do is to reach those children in remote communities with great potential because I believe that reaching them, unleashing, leading, and empowering them could rule Calbayog because the children [are] the future of our nation, and I believe that investing in our children could mean that (we) the children [are] the hope of our future. Thank you.

Every hadang is an offering, and on this night the city offered a crown. On September 3, Micah Sheen Comilan of San Policarpo National High School was crowned Miss Hadang Festival Queen 2026, chosen from 20 candidates representing barangays, schools, alumni associations, and youth councils across the city.
The night ran the full pageant course: the casual attire opening, the swimsuit and evening gown competitions, the cut to the Top 10, then the Top 5, and the final question and answer that decided the crown.
The answer that won the crown.
Asked what would be the first thing she would do for Calbayog City if she won the crown, Comilan answered:
"I believe that leadership is the root of our advocacy. Thank you."

Hadang is an ancient Visayan ritual of making offerings to spirits, for protection, healing, good fortune or a bountiful harvest. It is still performed in Calbayog by local tambalans, and it is the foundation of the city's official festival: known until 2025 as the Sarakiki-Hadang Festival, named Hadang Festival by city ordinance on 1 September 2025, and three times champion at Samar's Tandaya Festival of Festivals.
